Thanks to ultra-portability, modern devices are getting thinner, lighter and smaller. They are all good, except for the fact that those devices would come with less connectivity ports than older devices used to have. Some laptop models in the last few years come with one 1 or 2 USB-C ports and nothing else, forcing us to buy additional dongles.

I needed a USB hub for my Macbook Pro, but I also need adapter to connect my laptop to HDMI, as well as RJ45 cabled network for my office. Occasionally, I also wished that my shiny Macbook would allow me to read photos from my SDXC card. It seems that I can get all these connectors in one simple dongle with Satechi USB-C Multimedia Adapter.

There are a lot of ports in Satechi USB-C Multimedia Adapter. For starter, we get 3 full-sized USB 3.0 ports (A-type), RJ45 port for network cable, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort. We get 1 fully functional USB-C port with Power Delivery. It allow us to read memory cards, thanks to SD and microSD card slots.

USB-C Power Delivery port will charge our PD-compatible devices up to 49W. The HDMI and Mini DisplayPort support 4K display at 30Hz, even though only 1 display can be used at the same time.

Very useful dongle with all the important ports that matter for me. Solid build quality and no issue with using it so far. Highly recommended for those looking to get the most out of a single USB-C port.
