Concept Green CGF7800-W is a portable charger with 7,800 mAh capacity + LED lantern in one product. There are so many other backup batteries with built-in LED, so what makes this one special?
Well, the LED in CGF7800-W is bright. It’s really bright to the point it can provide decent lighting in a medium-sized bedroom. Few years ago I bought a similar product but brand-less from eBay and it was super useful in the events of electricity blackout. The lantern form-factor makes it so much easier to put on a flat surface, and the light goes to every direction, better than using flashlights. One full charge of 7,800 mAh easily survived more than half year of usage. I ended up recharging it when I received an email from my power company notifying about scheduled blackout. Now with an infant at home, I need another one of this LED lantern + 7,800 mAh battery product because a baby should not be left in complete darkness at any time, while I would probably need to go to another room to check on things and I need a lantern, too. So I decided to get an extra, and found that this product now has a brand name.
I still remember back in my childhood years, emergency light was heavy and bulky. It took more than 6 hours to charge and could only last for about 90 minutes. The model that can last 3 hours was too expensive back then. So I had to use the light very wisely during electricity blackout that often lasted longer than 3 hours, at night. Ok, now I feel old.
If needed, we can use CGF7800-W as a flashlight, too. The upper part for lantern light can be hidden with easy mechanism and light will only come out of the top surface, making it a flashlight.
Of course, being a portable charger, CGF7800-W can be used to charge our smartphones, tablets and other gadgets. I always consider this as an extra feature because I mainly bought it for the lantern.
Now, when I compare this new Concept Green lantern with my old one, I noticed there are few differences. First, my old LED lantern has 8 small LEDs (1 in the middle of 7 LEDs around). The new one from Concept Green has 4 LEDs, but they are bigger and brighter. When I compare them side by side, it is clear that my new lantern from Concept Green is brighter. Not sure if it has anything to do with it being new.
Anyway, it’s a nice and very useful product. I am sure every parents with a baby would appreciate having a reliable source of light in the event of electricity blackouts.
