To my surprise, iPad mini with Retina display is suddenly available today at Apple online store Australia. This morning I read news about leaked internal document pointing at Nov 12 release date, but I didn’t believe that at all because it was already November 12 in Australia and there is no sign of iPad mini 2 availability.
This evening I happened to realize Apple Store website is down. It got me curious, MAYBE the leaked document this morning was true after all. So I stand by, patiently refreshing that page until suddenly it’s back and… iPad mini 2 is truly available now !
16GB and 32GB WiFi model have 1-3 business days estimated shipping times. All other models (64GB and 128GB WiFi plus all WiFi+Cellular models) have 5-10 business days estimated shipping. Since it’s already evening, physical Apple Stores in Australia are already closed and there is no information whether these new iPad minis will be available in store tomorrow.
