Anker PowerCore III 19K 60W is a backup battery not for our phones or tablet, but for laptops capable of USB-C charging. There are many products available in the market today, my choice goes to this Anker power bank because I have good trust on the brand, and the fact that this battery is capable to deliver 60W of charging, sufficient for my work laptop. I would not call my work laptop power-hungry, but when I put 45W charger or below, it takes forever to charge.
Let’s start with the physical appearance of the product. The build looks solid and I like the design. There is 2 USB-A ports (output) with Power IQ technology, and 1 USB-C for both input and output. It supports Power Delivery up to 60W, which is the total output from all 3 ports. There is a front button with 4 blue LED indicators at the top surface to indicate remaining power.
This thing is big and heavy (16.5 x 7.5 x 2 cm, 416 gr), not the kind of power bank that I would like to carry everyday in my bag unless on days I need to use my laptop somewhere without power plug. Another use case is at home in case of electricity blackout, very handy for people who work mostly from home. The big capacity of 19,200 mAh is sufficient to run my laptop for a few hours in times of emergency.
Before getting this Anker power bank, I already have another laptop power bank from another brand. Since USB-C has same connector on both ends, sometimes my old power bank will charge my laptop, sometimes my laptop will charge the power bank. I am happy to report that Anker PowerCore III 19K 60W does not seem to have that problem. My experiments so far seem to consistently show a behaviour of the power bank charging the laptop.
Good product that does what it says. Happy with the purchase.
